So today was rather blahhh. I did the usual; Whittier, work, home.
I could use a stiff drink, however.
I did go out to eat with my mother tonight. I don't give her enough credit for all that she does for me and my brother and sister. After losing her father and going through a gnarly divorce in the past year, I hope that 2010 welcomes her with open arms.
I took some photos of my apartment so here they are!
So yeah. Just a few. But I think you can tell that it's quite a place! It reflects my personality pretty well and I'll be sad to bid it adieu.
However, I need to keep thinking positively and open up to new and exciting experiences that will come to me. How am I ever supposed to learn and grow if I deny myself the opportunities to fail, succeed, explore, etc...
To end: an excerpt from one of my favorite poets (if you don't know, I'm pretty infatuated with poetry and hope to call myself a poet someday).
"The sunlight in a yellow plaque upon the varnished floor
is full of a song
inflated to fifty pounds pressure
at the faucet of June that rings the triangle of the air
pulling at the anemones in Persephone's cow pasture"
- William Carlos Williams
